Encounter Overview
O9N – Chaos introduces the Omega: Alphascape raid tier with a fight built around directional AoEs, arena control, and alternating elemental phases. The encounter cycles between structured mechanics and variable mini-phases, requiring players to adapt positioning based on the boss’s opening actions.
Chaos combines clear visual telegraphs with layered follow-ups, teaching players to resolve initial mechanics while already preparing for the next movement requirement.
Arena Overview
The encounter takes place on a square platform with no barriers. Falling off the arena results in death, making knockbacks and positioning errors highly punishing.
During elemental phases, sections of the arena become restricted, forcing tighter positioning and controlled movement patterns.

Core Mechanics
Chaotic Dispersion: Heavy tankbuster. Tanks should mitigate and keep the boss stable to prevent unnecessary movement during follow-ups.
Damning Edict: Large frontal cleave. Move behind the boss immediately—this often sets the tone for the upcoming elemental phase.
Latitudinal / Longitudinal Implosion: Sequential directional AoEs. Stand in the safe lanes first, then rotate into the previously hit zones for the second explosion.
Tsunami & Earthquake Phase
Tsunami: Restricts movement to a narrow central strip. Stay grouped for donut AoEs to overlap safely, then reposition quickly for follow-ups.
Dynamic Fluid: Donut AoEs resolve in sequence (supports first, then DPS). Stack tightly to share safe space efficiently.
Knockdown (Healers): Proximity markers. Healers should move to opposite ends while the group stays centered to minimize damage.
Earthquake: Removes southern safe space and introduces knockbacks. Pre-position north to avoid being pushed into danger.
Split Stacks: Two simultaneous stack markers. Divide into light parties and resolve cleanly before moving out of Big Bang circles.
Fiendish Orbs: Tethered hits or line AoEs. Tanks should take tethers where possible while the group avoids stray damage.
Inferno & Cyclone Phase
Inferno: Forces the raid into a central safe zone. Spread carefully inside limited space to avoid overlapping AoEs.
Entropy: Alternating AoE markers. First group spreads, second group follows—maintain awareness of available space.
Cyclone: Central tornado hazard with knockback. Position near the center edge of the safe zone and aim toward corners to avoid being knocked off.
Damning Edict (Cyclone): Resolve behind the boss without crossing the tornado—plan movement paths early.
Healer Proximity + Big Bang: Group stacks in a corner while healers separate. Immediately move out of follow-up AoEs.
Orb Tethers: Tanks should intercept where possible to reduce pressure on the group.
Shared Mechanics
Bowels of Agony: Reduces all players to 1 HP and splits mechanics—supports stack for donut AoEs, DPS spread for circles. Clean separation prevents overlap damage.
Dark Crystal (DPS Check): Burn the crystal before the gauge fills. Use burst windows here to prevent a wipe.
Encounter Flow
The fight opens with basic tankbusters and directional AoEs, immediately followed by an elemental phase determined by Chaos’s opening action.
Each elemental phase restricts movement and introduces layered mechanics that test positioning, spacing, and awareness.
After Bowels of Agony and the Dark Crystal DPS check, Chaos resumes earlier patterns with increased frequency, requiring consistent execution until the fight ends.
