FFXIV Gil & Vendor Mounts Guide
Gil and vendor mounts in Final Fantasy XIV are earned primarily through direct purchases using gil, Gold Saucer currencies, gemstones, or other non-combat currencies. These mounts are some of the most accessible collectible mounts in the game, though some require significant long-term currency grinding.
This guide covers mounts purchased from vendors, Gold Saucer rewards, gemstone exchanges, and other currency-based acquisition systems.

Gold Saucer Mounts
Gold Saucer mounts are purchased using Manderville Gold Saucer Points (MGP). These mounts range from relatively inexpensive collectibles to some of the most expensive mounts in the game.
Weekly challenge logs, Mini Cactpot, Jumbo Cactpot, GATEs, and Triple Triad tournaments are common methods used to farm MGP.
Vendor Reputation Mounts
Many vendor mounts are tied to Allied Society reputation systems. These mounts are unlocked after reaching high reputation ranks through daily quests and expansion progression.
Because reputation progression is time-gated through daily allowances, these mounts are often long-term casual progression rewards.
Market Board and Crafted Mounts
Some mounts can be crafted directly by Disciples of the Hand or purchased through the Market Board. These mounts are usually tied to crafting recipes, treasure maps, or special materials.
Prices for crafted mounts can vary significantly depending on server economy and expansion age.
