Trial mounts are earned from Extreme trials and related trial collection quests in Final Fantasy XIV. Most trial mounts drop directly from Extreme duties, while many can also be purchased with 99 trial totems after enough clears.
Trial mount farming is one of the most reliable long-term collection paths in FFXIV because each expansion usually has a themed mount set, followed by a final collection reward once the full set is complete.

Trial Mount Farming Notes
Most Extreme trial mounts can be farmed repeatedly until the mount drops. For many expansion trials, the mount can also be purchased after collecting 99 totems from that fight.
The final mount in each expansion set usually requires collecting the full themed mount series and completing a short unlock quest.
