Encounter Overview

O12N – Omega-M & Omega-F is the final encounter of Omega: Alphascape, combining two distinct boss forms into a multi-phase fight that escalates into simultaneous dual-boss pressure.

The encounter tests positioning, awareness, and group coordination through alternating mechanics, knockbacks, and overlapping AoEs before culminating in a split-target final phase where both bosses must be handled at once.

For a full breakdown of raid difficulty across all tiers, see the FFXIV Raid Rankings.

Arena Overview

The fight takes place on a large circular platform with no barriers. Falling off results in death, making knockback positioning critical throughout the encounter.

Later phases introduce simultaneous boss mechanics and split responsibilities, requiring spatial awareness and clean positioning.

Boss Mechanics

Omega-M (Male Form)

Solar Ray: Tankbuster with splash damage.

Strategy: Tank faces away from group; others keep distance.

Program Alpha: Spread AoEs → stack marker.

Strategy: Spread first, then quickly regroup to soak.

Efficient Bladework: Point-blank AoE at random location.

Strategy: Watch boss movement and reposition before stacking.

Subject Simulation: Transforms into Omega-F and triggers knockback.

Strategy: Stay near boss to avoid being knocked off.

Omega-F (Female Form)

Optimized Fire III: Player-targeted AoEs.

Optimized Blizzard III: Cross-shaped AoE.

Strategy: Resolve both simultaneously—spread without crossing lines.

Laser Shower: Raidwide damage.

Synthetic Blades: Side-cleave with narrow center safe zone.

Strategy: Move to center line → spread carefully inside limited space.

Subject Simulation: Transforms into Omega-M.

Strategy: Move away immediately to avoid point-blank AoE.

Omega-M (Enhanced Phase)

Synthetic Shield: Adds new layered mechanics.

Program Alpha + Beyond Strength: Spread AoEs + donut AoE + stack.

Strategy: Spread → collapse to center → stack safely.

Efficient Bladework: Center AoE after donut.

Strategy: Move out immediately after stack resolves.

Formless Transition

Omega becomes a puddle and splits into two markers:

  • One player receives a spread AoE
  • One player receives a stack marker

Strategy: Separate markers widely to create safe re-entry space.

Omega-M and Omega-F then reappear simultaneously with:

  • Omega-M → point-blank AoE
  • Omega-F → knockback

Strategy: Position near Omega-F but outside Omega-M’s AoE.

DPS Check Phase

Omega-M Shield + Omega-F Laser Shower:

Omega-F becomes invulnerable while Omega-M shields her.

Strategy:

  • Burn Omega-M first
  • Then immediately switch to Omega-F

Omega Duo Phase

Firewall: Splits raid—half can damage M, half can damage F.

Strategy:

  • Identify debuff immediately
  • Commit to correct target
  • Tanks separate bosses

Combined Mechanics

Both bosses execute abilities simultaneously:

  • Solar Ray (tankbuster)
  • Program Alpha (spread + stack)
  • Blizzard III (cross AoE)
  • Efficient Bladework (point-blank AoE)

Strategy: Prioritize positioning first, damage second.

Cosmo Memory

Heavy raidwide damage after bosses converge.

Strategy: Mitigate heavily and prepare healing.

Resonance

Bosses gain damage if close together.

Strategy: Tanks must keep bosses separated.

Limit Break Phase

Meteor (Omega-F): Tank proximity markers.

Strategy: Tanks spread apart, group moves center.

Sagittarius Arrow (Omega-M): Line AoE.

Strategy: Sidestep out of line.

Blade Dance: Tank LB-style burst.

Strategy: Mitigate heavily.

Final Burn

Bosses continue cycling mechanics until one dies.

Once one falls, the other repeatedly casts Laser Shower.

Strategy: Burn remaining boss quickly before healers are overwhelmed.

Encounter Flow

The fight begins with alternating Omega-M and Omega-F phases, introducing core mechanics individually before layering them together.

The mid-phase introduces positioning challenges and transformation mechanics, leading into a DPS check where target priority becomes critical.

The final phase combines both bosses simultaneously, requiring split targeting, coordination, and strong positioning discipline to survive overlapping mechanics and finish the encounter.
