Encounter Overview
Eden’s Promise: Eternity (E12N) serves as the final encounter of the Eden’s Promise raid tier, combining multiple primal-inspired mechanics into a layered sequence of pattern recognition and positioning checks. The fight introduces a “store and release” system alongside arena transformations, testing player awareness across multiple overlapping elements.
Unlike earlier encounters, Eternity emphasizes memory and pattern recognition. Players must track which abilities are stored, identify safe zones based on combinations, and react to arena-wide changes with minimal hesitation.
The encounter progresses through multiple stages, including an intermission phase with add control and a final phase that combines stored mechanics with arena transformations. While each mechanic is readable, the layering increases the need for clean positioning and early decision-making.
Arena Overview
The encounter begins on a circular platform with no edge protection. Players can fall off during knockbacks or poor positioning, making spatial awareness important throughout the fight.
During the intermission, the arena shifts across multiple smaller platforms, each with its own mechanics and positioning requirements. In the final phase, the arena transforms again based on primal junction mechanics, altering movement and safe zones.
The fight frequently constrains safe space through overlapping AoEs and arena changes, rewarding players who stay centered and make controlled adjustments rather than large movements.
Mechanic Archive
Utopian Vision: Eden’s Promise
The encounter is fought against Eden’s Promise, who utilizes abilities inspired by multiple primals. These mechanics often combine or overlap, requiring players to interpret multiple effects at once.
Maleficium
A raid-wide AoE that deals unavoidable magical damage. This is the encounter’s primary healing check and often precedes major mechanics.
Primal Tethers (Stage 1)
The boss tethers to a primal crystal, indicating an upcoming arena-wide attack with a delayed resolution.
- Leviathan: Safe zone is along the center line.
- Garuda: Safe zones are at the intercardinals.
- Ramuh: Safe zone is at max melee range.
- Ifrit: Safe zones are narrow lanes to the boss’s immediate sides.
These mechanics establish the encounter’s pattern language and are later combined in more complex ways.
Formless Judgment
A dual tank-targeted attack that requires mitigation. Both tanks are targeted simultaneously and must prepare accordingly.
Stage Transition (Guardian Phase)
The arena collapses and players must move to a new platform via a teleport circle. This begins an intermission phase focused on add handling and positional mechanics.
Add Phase – Memory Platforms
The raid moves across multiple platforms while defeating adds and resolving simple positioning mechanics.
Platform 1
Players resolve a line stack marker while avoiding targeted cone attacks. Marked players separate while the rest stack.
Platform 2
Dual stack markers appear, typically handled together due to low penalty. A knockback follows, requiring edge positioning or knockback mitigation.
Platform 3
Multiple adds spawn alongside a central knockback. Players must move toward the center to avoid being pushed off.
This phase serves as a reset before the final stage, emphasizing coordination without heavy punishment.
Stock
The boss stores two primal abilities. Players must identify which abilities are stored, as they will resolve together shortly after.
Release
The stored abilities are executed simultaneously, creating overlapping AoEs.
- Leviathan + Garuda: Safe inside and intercardinals.
- Leviathan + Ramuh: Safe north/south and max melee.
- Leviathan + Ifrit: Safe inside and east/west.
- Garuda + Ramuh: Safe outside and intercardinals.
- Ifrit + Ramuh: Safe outside and east/west.
This mechanic is a recognition check. Identifying both stored abilities early determines safe positioning.
Junction Shiva
Telegraphs an upcoming ice-based arena transformation.
Diamond Dust
A raid-wide AoE followed by a frozen arena. Players must spread for individual AoEs, then regroup for a stack marker immediately afterward.
Rapturous Reach (Shiva)
A large directional cleave combined with player AoEs. Players must move to the safe side while spreading to avoid overlap.
Junction Titan
Telegraphs an upcoming earth-based arena transformation.
Earthen Fury
A raid-wide AoE followed by sequential boulder explosions. Safe zones shift as explosions resolve, requiring players to move between positions in order.
Rapturous Reach (Titan)
A directional cleave combined with a stack marker. Players must position correctly while preparing to stack.
Encounter Flow
The encounter begins with primal tether mechanics, teaching players how each elemental attack defines safe zones. These early mechanics are straightforward and serve as the foundation for later combinations.
The fight transitions into an intermission phase where players move across multiple platforms, defeating adds and resolving simple positioning checks. This phase acts as a pacing break before the more complex final stage.
In the final phase, the boss introduces Stock and Release, combining previously learned primal mechanics into overlapping patterns. Players must quickly identify safe zones based on both stored abilities.
Additional layers are added through Junction mechanics, transforming the arena and forcing players to adapt to ice or earth-based movement patterns. These sequences combine spreads, stacks, and directional cleaves in rapid succession.
Eternity concludes by repeatedly combining these systems. Success depends on recognizing patterns early, positioning decisively, and maintaining composure as mechanics overlap more frequently.
