Encounter Overview
T3 – The Binding Coil of Bahamut Turn 3 is a unique raid within the Coil series, functioning as a traversal and navigation challenge rather than a traditional boss encounter. There is no final boss, no enrage timer, and minimal combat pressure. Instead, the objective is to navigate a vertical maze of platforms using jump pads to reach the bottom of the structure.
This duty acts as a transition layer within the Coil, testing awareness and coordination rather than combat execution. While enemies are present, they are largely optional and can often be avoided entirely with proper routing.

Arena Overview
The arena is a multi-level vertical structure made up of interconnected platforms. Progression is achieved through jump pads that launch players downward through the facility. Each jump pad must be aligned correctly before use, and incorrect orientation can send players off the optimal path.
Blue rings located near jump pads indicate the intended direction of travel. Standing on these rings determines where the jump pad will send players when activated. Proper alignment is required before stepping into the center of the pad to descend.
Boss Mechanics
Navigation System
Jump Pads: The primary mechanic of the encounter. Players must stand on nearby blue control circles to orient the pad before stepping into the center to activate it. Incorrect positioning can lead to inefficient routing or backtracking.
Blue Rings: Visual indicators that show the correct direction toward the next level. Following these ensures smooth progression through the maze.
Group Coordination: It is highly recommended to assign one player as the navigator to control pad alignment. This prevents conflicting inputs and keeps the group moving efficiently.
Enemy Presence
General Enemies: Various enemies populate the platforms, including Dark Matter creatures and Dreadguards. Most can be avoided or ignored entirely.
Golems: The most dangerous enemies in the encounter. While still avoidable, they can deal significant damage to underprepared players. Maintaining distance is recommended.
Optional Combat: Engaging enemies is not required for completion. The fastest and safest approach is to prioritize navigation and avoid unnecessary fights.
Environmental Notes
No Boss Encounter: There is no final boss in this duty.
No Echo Bonus: Unlike other Coil raids, this duty does not grant The Echo upon completion.
Treasure Chests: Optional chests are scattered throughout the platforms and can be collected if desired, though they are not required for completion.
Encounter Flow
Entry: Begin navigating the upper platforms while identifying the correct jump pads.
Descent: Follow blue ring indicators and align jump pads correctly to move downward efficiently.
Navigation Control: Assign one player to manage pad orientation while the rest of the group follows.
Enemy Avoidance: Bypass unnecessary enemies, especially golems, to maintain momentum.
Completion: Continue descending through the structure until reaching the final platform, completing the duty.
