Retrace the steps of the King of Resolve into a hidden research facility where the boundary between man and beast was systematically erased. Yuweyawata Field Station is the first MSQ dungeon of the post-launch cycle (Patch 7.1), and it is a brutal reminder that the “Expert” tier is here to stay. This isn’t just a dungeon; it’s an Endurance Test. It combines long, high-attrition trash pulls with bosses that utilize “Ruby Weapon” style movement and arena-altering hazards that can instantly delete a careless player.
Dungeon Overview
Yuweyawata Field Station takes adventurers into an abandoned research outpost swallowed by the surrounding jungle. The dungeon mixes tight corridors with open arenas where enemies use wide AoE attacks and environmental hazards to pressure the party.
Mechanically, this dungeon emphasizes arena awareness and directional attacks. Many mechanics appear straightforward but punish players who stand still too long or fail to reposition quickly.
Compared to other Dawntrail dungeons, Yuweyawata Field Station is mechanically readable but demands consistent movement from the party.
1. Tank Risk: 4.5 / 5
You are breaching a facility overrun by escaped experiments and spectral remnants.
-
The “Soul Center” Trash Friction: The pulls in Yuweyawata are “Spicy.” The Electrogolems and Giant Corse utilize heavy conal cleaves (Line Voltage/Glass Punch) that must be aimed away from the party. The final pack before the second boss features a massive volume of magical AOE overlap. You must cycle your 30% mitigations (Sentinel/Guardian/Vengeance) early in the pull; waiting until your HP is at 40% will result in a “dead-before-cast” scenario due to the density of the mob auto-attacks.
-
Lunipyati (Final Boss) Pitfalls: During Crater Carve, the boss shatters the center of the arena. You must position yourself on the outer ring immediately. If you use a gap-closer like Intervene or Onslaught too early, you will path through the death zone and be instantly removed from the fight.
-
Slabber & Tank Busters: The busters in this dungeon hit with “Expert” weight. Use your “Short” cooldowns proactively during the Raging Claw sequences, as the boss follows up with room-wide damage.
2. Healer Strain: 4.6 / 5
Expect a job defined by Movement Throughput and Instant Stabilization.
-
The “Beastly Roar” Chase (Final Boss): Lunipyati utilizes a proximity marker followed by chasing AOEs. You must sprint around the outer ring while keeping the party alive. This is a definitive test of your instant-cast toolkit (Afflatus Solace/Lustrate/Essential Dignity). If you try to hard-cast a Medica during the chase, the AOEs will catch you, resulting in a vulnerability stack or death.
-
Throughput During “Darkness” (Boss 2): Overseer Kanilokka utilizes Darkened Sky. You must manage the party’s HP while dodging rapid-fire line AOEs and “Chariot/Dynamo” shifts. The damage is high and frequent; do not let the party drop below 50% HP during the transition, as the follow-up room-wide Shadowy Vortex will finish them off.
-
The “Hole” Factor: If a player falls into the center pit on the final boss, they are gone. You cannot Resurrect them. This places extreme pressure on the remaining party members to clear the final 30% of the boss’s HP without a full team.
3. DPS Responsibility: 4.6 / 5
Your performance is measured by Spatial Logic and Zero-Fault Movement.
-
The “Caber Toss” Protocol (Boss 1): Lindblum Zaghnal throws crystals that emit fanned line AOEs. You must identify the “Safe Lanes” while the boss executes Heave. This is a multi-tasking check: watch the crystal, watch the boss, and keep your rotation going.
-
Ruby-Style Dodging (Final Boss): The boss uses Beastly Roar to send AOEs traveling along curved paths (similar to Ruby Weapon). You must step into the safe lanes created by the first wave to avoid the second. Hesitating for even one GCD during this phase will lead to a lethal overlap.
-
Positional Disregard: During the final boss’s crater phase, the boss gains a buff that makes all positional requirements ignored. Do not risk your life for a flank/rear bonus—stay in the safe zone and focus on the mechanics.
Boss Encounters
Barreltender
Barrel Toss
The boss throws explosive barrels across sections of the arena.
Players must watch where barrels land and reposition to avoid the blast zones.
Rolling Rampage
Barrels begin rolling across the arena in straight paths.
Stand between their paths to avoid being knocked back or damaged.
Heavy Smash
A strong frontal attack aimed at the tank.
The tank should face the boss away from the party.
Failure Points
Most damage occurs when players focus on the boss and ignore rolling barrels crossing the arena.
Feather Ray
Wing Sweep
Large cone attacks strike the arena in front of the boss.
Players should move to the sides or behind the boss.
Aerial Dive
The boss leaves the arena and reappears with line AoEs across the battlefield.
Watch the telegraphs and stand between the attack lines.
Storm Burst
Circular AoEs appear around random players.
Spread out to prevent overlapping damage.
Failure Points
Players often cluster during Storm Burst and take unnecessary damage from overlapping AoEs.
Otis the Unbroken
Unyielding Strike
A heavy tankbuster attack.
Tanks should mitigate while healers prepare to stabilize.
Field Collapse
Sections of the arena become unsafe as debris falls from above.
Players must move quickly to the remaining safe zones.
Relentless Barrage
Multiple line AoEs sweep across the battlefield.
Watch the sequence and move with the pattern rather than against it.
Failure Points
Most wipes occur when players panic during Field Collapse and run through active AoE zones.
Trash Pull Notes
Trash mobs inside Yuweyawata Field Station frequently combine ranged attackers with enemies that create ground AoEs.
Tanks can safely perform larger pulls, but the group must stay alert for overlapping telegraphs and avoid standing in persistent damage zones.
The final trash groups before the last boss often include enemies with wide attacks that can quickly overwhelm inattentive players.
Difficulty Assessment
Yuweyawata Field Station sits in the middle of the Dawntrail dungeon difficulty curve.
The mechanics are clearly telegraphed but require steady movement and positioning. Players who remain aware of arena hazards will find the dungeon straightforward, while inattentive groups may take repeated damage during rolling hazards and line attacks.
Overpull Tolerance
Low to Moderate.
Large pulls significantly increase healer strain.
Gear Sensitivity
Low.
Mechanics remain the primary destabilizing factor rather than gear scaling.

Guildmaster Notes
Yuweyawata Field Station demonstrates a common theme in Dawntrail dungeon design:
The arena itself is often as dangerous as the enemy.
Adventurers who learn to watch the battlefield rather than the boss alone will find this expedition far less dangerous than it first appears
Guild Classification: High–Severe Risk (Dawntrail Late Patch Tier)
