Welcome to the Bureau of Concept Registration. Here, the Amaurotines birthed the nightmares of the world. Akadaemia Anyder is a high-stakes biological gauntlet where the “subjects” have broken containment. Don’t let the scholarly atmosphere fool you—the creatures here are hungry, and you are the only organic matter left in the lab.

Evaluated under standard Duty Finder conditions with level sync active.
Assumes average party coordination and no voice communication.

Expansion Context

Akadaemia Anyder stands alongside The Twinning as the other Optional Level-Cap Deployment for the 5.0 launch. While its counterpart focuses on Magitek and time-loops, the Akadaemia is a masterclass in Biological Add Management and Arena Awareness. The dungeon is characterized by its “Predatory” mechanics—bosses that hunt specific players and adds that must be handled with surgical precision.

It assumes a party that can maintain high DPS output while navigating overlapping, untelegraphed “shout” mechanics.

Tank Risk Assessment

You are the primary containment unit for the Bureau’s most aggressive concepts.

  • The “Mega-Predator” Friction: The trash pulls, specifically the Evil Iris and Dahak units, utilize wide-angle cleaves and heavy physical autos. If you attempt to pull the entire first hallway without rotating Rampart and your Invulnerability cooldown, the sheer volume of “Stun” and “Bleed” effects will overwhelm you before the first pack falls.

  • Quetzalcoatl (Final Boss) Buster: Shockbolt is a high-voltage magical spike. Because this fight involves collecting “Orbs” to prevent boss buffs, you must ensure you have a cooldown active while moving. A “naked” buster during the orb-collection phase is the leading cause of tank death in this tier.

  • Dual-Target Management (Boss 1): You must manage Cladoselache and Doliodus. Keeping them separated or positioned to allow for clean AOE is critical to preventing the party from being pinned between two shark-leaps.

Tank Risk Rating: 4.5 / 5

Structured mitigation stabilizes encounters.

Healer Strain Analysis

Expect a job defined by Add-Phase Stabilization and Mobility.

  • The “Shark” Attrition (Boss 1): This fight features constant leaping attacks and “Proximity” markers. You must keep the party topped off while they are being punted across the arena. If a DPS takes a vulnerability stack from a “Splash” and a “Leap” follows, they are effectively deleted.

  • Thunderstorm Management (Final Boss): Quetzalcoatl pulses constant, unavoidable room-wide damage while placing lightning markers on players. You must maintain high HPS while everyone is scattered. If your oGCD management is poor, you will run dry before the boss’s final 15% burn.

  • Compounded Failures: In the Akadaemia, failures are rarely isolated. A DPS missing an orb on the final boss creates a permanent damage buff for the boss, increasing your HPS burden for the remainder of the fight.

Healer Strain Rating: 4.6 / 5

Prevention is critical.

DPS Responsibility Index

Your performance is measured by Kill Priority and Environmental Interaction.

  • The “Orb” Protocol (Final Boss): You must collect the glowing lightning orbs. Every orb you leave on the ground is consumed by Quetzalcoatl to increase his damage output. This is a binary execution check: if the boss reaches 4+ stacks of Damage Up, the room-wide pulses become unhealable.

  • Add Interception (Boss 2): When the Marid adds appear, they must be eliminated instantly. If they are allowed to cast their large-scale trumpets, the arena becomes a no-win scenario of overlapping stuns and AOEs.

  • Shark Logic (Boss 1): You must track which shark is active and which is “hunting” from the water. Tunnel-visioning your rotation will lead to you being caught by an untelegraphed leap from the sidelines.

DPS Responsibility Rating: 4.6 / 5

Execution consistency is required.

Wipe Punishment Profile

Akadaemia Anyder punishes repeated mechanical failures decisively.

Common wipe scenarios:

  • Add mismanagement escalating healer strain

  • Burst window tank destabilization

  • Layered mechanic failures

  • Stacked avoidable damage overwhelming recovery

Recovery becomes unlikely once instability compounds.

Wipe Punishment Rating: 4.6 / 5

Mistakes escalate steadily.

Boss Risk Snapshot

Akadaemia Anyder emphasizes structured add management and layered execution.

Boss 1 – Cladoselache

  • Primary Wipe Trigger: Improper positioning during layered arena mechanics.

  • Role Under Highest Strain: Healer.

  • Common Duty Finder Failure: Stacked avoidable damage during overlapping telegraphs.

Boss 2 – Doliodus

  • Primary Wipe Trigger: Add mismanagement escalating sustained pressure.

  • Role Under Highest Strain: DPS.

  • Common Duty Finder Failure: Slow swaps during multi-target phases.

Boss 3 – Quetzalcoatl

  • Primary Wipe Trigger: Burst window collapse during layered mechanics.

  • Role Under Highest Strain: Tank and Healer.

  • Common Duty Finder Failure: Mistimed mitigation while the party takes avoidable damage.

The “Big Three” Wipe Scenarios

  • The “Orb” Buff Escalation (Final Boss): Multiple party members failing to collect the lightning orbs. The boss’s damage scales until a single room-wide pulse wipes the entire group.

  • Marid Add Saturation (Boss 2): Failing to kill the adds before they clutter the arena with AOEs and stuns. This leads to the “death-loop” where players are stunned inside lethal zones.

  • Shark Leap Overlap (Boss 1): Getting hit by both sharks simultaneously due to poor positioning. The combined damage and knockback are fatal for non-tanks.

Overpull Tolerance

 Low.

The biological adds apply heavy debuffs. 2-pack pulls are the safety limit for most groups.

Gear Sensitivity

Low to Moderate.

Overgearing smooths trash damage but does not eliminate wipe potential tied to layered mechanics and add mismanagement.

Execution remains the primary stabilizing factor.

Final Guild Verdict

Akadaemia Anyder is a Target Priority Gauntlet. It rewards groups that can identify and eliminate high-threat adds while maintaining awareness of their surroundings.

It trades the timeline-chaos of The Twinning for a more direct, biological lethality. Kill the adds, eat the orbs, and survive the lab.

Guild Classification: High–Severe Risk (Shadowbringers Level Cap Tier)
