Encounter Overview
Dancing Green is the first encounter of Arcadion: Cruiserweight.
The fight revolves around rhythm-based half-room cleaves, tile dodging, moving spotlights, and line-traveling arena hazards. Several mechanics require players to move in time with the encounter’s visual and musical cues, especially during the snap mechanics and the backup dancer phase.
The arena is an 8×8 grid of square tiles, which becomes important during tile-based AoE patterns.
Players who touch the arena border die instantly.

Arena Layout
The battlefield is an 8×8 tiled arena surrounded by a lethal border.
Arena hazards include:
• tile-based AoEs
• moving spotlight positions
• lane-based wave attacks
• half-room cleaves
• moonwalking add traces
Because several mechanics are tied to arena position and timing, spatial awareness matters more than raw movement speed.
Boss Behavior Profile
Dancing Green specializes in timed directional cleaves and choreography mechanics.
The encounter features:
• half-room cleaves
• tankbusters
• checkerboard tile AoEs
• moving spotlight debuffs
• traveling lane attacks
• memorization-based cleave sequences
• add-based arena tracing hazards
Players must react cleanly to both visual telegraphs and mechanic timing.
Mechanic Archive
Do the Hustle
One side of the boss is surrounded by a wall of rainbow tiles.
This indicates a half-room cleave in that direction.
There is no ground telegraph.
Player Response
• move to the opposite half of the arena
2-snap Twist
A wave of rainbow tiles appears on one side of the boss.
This signals:
-
two successive half-room cleaves in that same direction
-
one final untelegraphed cleave on the opposite side
These cleaves resolve in rhythm with the background music.
Player Response
• dodge the repeated same-side cleaves
• then swap for the final opposite-side hit
4-snap Twist
Similar to 2-snap Twist, but with:
• four half-room cleaves on one side
• one final opposite-side cleave
Player Response
• stay aware of the rhythm timing
• swap only after the repeated side resolves
Deep Cut
Telegraphed conal magical tankbuster on both tanks.
Player Response
• tanks separate and mitigate
• party avoids the cones
Funky Floor
Five sets of alternating single-tile AoEs appear in a checkerboard pattern.
During the third set, the boss also casts Full Beat.
Full Beat
Stack marker on a random player dealing magical damage.
Player Response
• stack on a safe tile
• reposition immediately for the remaining Funky Floor pattern
Disco Infernal
Raidwide magical damage that assigns all players two Burn Baby Burn debuffs:
• 17-second timer
• 35-second timer
Four moving spotlights appear on the arena.
When a debuff expires, the player must be standing in a spotlight or they will:
• take heavy damage
• be stunned with Spotlightless
Standing in a spotlight instead causes In the Spotlight, briefly incapacitating the player but avoiding damage.
The game gives a 5-second overhead warning before expiration.
Player Response
• track both debuff timers
• stand in a spotlight for each expiration
• reposition after the first expiration because the boss uses Do the Hustle before the second
Celebrate Good Times
Raidwide magical damage.
Player Response
• mitigate and heal
Ride the Waves
Arrow telegraphs appear at the north edge, leaving one column safe.
These create three-tile-long moving AoEs that travel south.
A second set appears later with a different safe column and a row gap between the two wave sets.
During the second wave pattern, the boss also uses 2-snap Twist or 4-snap Twist.
Player Response
• identify the safe column
• move between the first and second wave patterns
• adjust for the snap cleaves at the same time
Ensemble Assemble
The boss jumps near the north edge and gains Directional Disregard.
Eight untargetable Frogtourage backup dancers appear on the north pedestals.
Arcady Night Fever
The Frogtourage adds pose in sequence, each raising either their left or right hand.
A Grooviness gauge appears.
The boss will later mimic their order.
Let’s Dance!
The boss tethers the adds in the order they posed and performs eight sequential half-room cleaves matching their hand positions.
Because the adds and the boss face the same direction, players can read left/right based on the add pose order.
Successful dodges increase Grooviness.
Mistakes reduce it.
Let’s Pose!
Raidwide magical damage that scales with the Grooviness gauge.
Players who dodged all cleaves successfully receive Perfect Groove, increasing damage dealt.
If the entire party performs flawlessly, the group gains a free Limit Break bar.
Afterward, the boss loses Directional Disregard.
Frogtourage
Two Frogtourage adds moonwalk across sections of the arena, tracing future AoE paths (Moonburn).
For the first use, the middle two columns are safe.
At the same time, all players receive stack markers.
Eighth Beats
Stack marker on all players dealing magical damage.
Player Response
• stack while staying inside the safe columns left by Moonburn
Funky Floor + 2-snap Twist
Tile AoEs and half-room cleaves overlap.
Players must dodge tile patterns while crossing to the other half of the room at the correct time.
Disco Infernal (Second Use)
Raidwide magical damage.
This version assigns two new Burn Baby Burn timers:
• 10 seconds
• 44 seconds
Only three moving spotlights appear.
At the same time:
• Frogtourage adds trace hazards across the arena
• the boss uses 2-snap Twist, then later 4-snap Twist
When the second debuff expires, only one or two spotlights may be on safe ground depending on where the add traces are.
Player Response
• resolve first spotlight while avoiding trace hazards
• dodge snap cleaves
• locate the remaining safe spotlight for the second debuff

Role Pressure Analysis
Tanks
Tanks handle dual conal tankbusters and must keep boss positioning stable during repeated directional cleaves.
Healers
Healers manage repeated magical raidwides, spotlight downtime, and recover the party after stack mechanics and movement mistakes.
DPS
DPS must maintain uptime through rhythm-based cleaves, tile mechanics, and memorization sequences without drifting into unsafe columns.
Failure Points
Common wipe causes include:
• swapping too early or too late during 2-snap / 4-snap Twist
• missing a spotlight during Disco Infernal
• standing in the wrong lane during Ride the Waves
• failing the Let’s Dance memorization sequence
• getting trapped by Frogtourage movement paths during spotlight resolution
