4.7 / 5 (Duty Finder Standard)

The facility of memories is submerged, but the threats are crystal clear. Anamnesis Anyder is a high-pressure descent into the origins of the Ascians. Here, the “refinement” of Shadowbringers reaches a sharp edge: every mechanic is a lesson in positioning, and every add is a countdown to chaos.

Evaluated under standard Duty Finder conditions with level sync active.
Assumes average party coordination and no voice communication.

Expansion Context

Anamnesis Anyder, introduced in Patch 5.2, marks the Mid-Patch Escalation of the Shadowbringers cycle. While The Grand Cosmos experimented with furniture, Anyder returns to High-Density Combat Layering. This dungeon introduces “Floor-Intervention” mechanics on a massive scale—where the party must physically block environmental spawns while managing boss tethers.

Recovery windows are exceptionally tight; by this point in the expansion, the “Vulnerability Up” debuff is less of a warning and more of a death sentence for non-tanks.

Tank Risk Assessment

You are managing ancient, heavy-hitting biological and mechanical concepts.

  • The “Grated” Pulls: The trash packs between the first and second bosses involve Anyder Diviner and Dahak units. These mobs use large, untelegraphed “Swing” attacks. You must position these away from the party while cycling your major mitigations (Shadow Wall/Sentinel). A mistimed cooldown during the final pull before the third boss can result in a wipe in under 10 seconds.

  • Hermes (Final Boss) Buster: Trismegistus and the follow-up auto-attacks deliver sharp, magical spikes. Because this encounter involves constant arena-wide knockbacks and “Water” hazards, your ability to maintain a steady boss orientation is the difference between a clean run and a chaotic scramble.

  • Kyklops (Boss 1) Positioning: You must read the boss’s arm movements (2,000-mina Swing vs. 2,000-mina Swipe). If you fail to pull the boss to a safe quadrant, you eliminate the melee DPS’s safe zone.

Tank Risk Rating: 4.6 / 5

Cooldown precision is mandatory.

Healer Strain Analysis

Expect a job defined by Add-Phase Throughput and Grid Management.

  • The “Grate” Protocol (Boss 3): This is the definitive healer test of 5.2. When the grates bubble, the party must stand on them to prevent adds from spawning. You must maintain HPS while standing on a specific tile. If you move to save a dying DPS and an add spawns, the resulting room-wide damage usually causes a wipe.

  • The Constellation System (Boss 2) Attrition: The boss pulses room-wide damage (Inquiry) while spawning Drones. You must keep the party topped off while they are scattered. If your oGCD management is inefficient, the final “laser-grid” phase will leave you without resources.

  • Binary Recovery: In Anamnesis Anyder, recovery is often impossible after two mistakes. If two DPS take vulnerability stacks during the Kyklops eye-mechanics, they will die to the next raid-wide burst regardless of your shields.

Healer Strain Rating: 4.7 / 5

Prevention is essential.

DPS Responsibility Index

Your performance is measured by Block Discipline and Add Priority.

  • The “Grate” Interception (Final Boss): You must physically stand on the bubbling grates. This is a binary execution check: every grate left uncovered spawns a Benthos add. If 3+ adds spawn, the incoming room-wide damage becomes unhealable.

  • Drone Elimination (Boss 2): You must prioritize the Drones instantly. If they are allowed to complete their line-AOE casts while the boss is using “Orbital” strikes, the safe zones in the arena vanish.

  • Zero Greed (Boss 1): Kyklops uses untelegraphed swings based on which hand he raises. If you greed a finisher and miss the visual cue, the hit will likely one-shot you or leave you with a crippling debuff.

DPS Responsibility Rating: 4.7 / 5

Execution discipline is non-negotiable.

Wipe Punishment Profile

Anamnesis Anyder punishes repeated mechanical failures decisively.

Common wipe scenarios:

  • Add mismanagement escalating healer strain

  • Burst window tank collapse

  • Layered mechanic failures

  • Stacked avoidable damage overwhelming recovery

Recovery after instability begins is rare.

Wipe Punishment Rating: 4.7 / 5

Mistakes escalate rapidly.

Boss Risk Snapshot

Anamnesis Anyder emphasizes layered mechanics and strict add control.

Boss 1 – Kyklops

  • Primary Wipe Trigger: Improper positioning during overlapping telegraphs.

  • Role Under Highest Strain: Healer.

  • Common Duty Finder Failure: Players greed uptime during movement checks.

Boss 2 – The Constellation System

  • Primary Wipe Trigger: Add mismanagement escalating sustained pressure.

  • Role Under Highest Strain: DPS.

  • Common Duty Finder Failure: Slow swaps during multi-target phases allow damage to compound.

Boss 3 – Hermes

  • Primary Wipe Trigger: Burst window collapse combined with layered mechanic failure.

  • Role Under Highest Strain: Tank and Healer.

  • Common Duty Finder Failure: Mistimed mitigation while party stacks avoidable damage.

The “Big Three” Wipe Scenarios

  • The “Grate” Overwhelm (Final Boss): Multiple party members failing to stand on the bubbling floor grates. The resulting flood of adds creates an unmanageable damage floor that wipes the group instantly.

  • Visual Cue Failure (Boss 1): The party failing to read the boss’s “Raise Arm” cues. Getting hit by the 2,000-mina attacks is the #1 cause of boss resets in Duty Finder.

  • Drone Saturation (Boss 2): Slow target swaps on the security drones, leading to a “bullet-hell” scenario where the healer is constantly interrupted by damage or knockbacks.

Overpull Tolerance

 Low.

The underwater guardians hit with high physical force. 1-2 packs only for safety.

Gear Sensitivity

Low to Moderate.

Overgearing smooths trash damage but does not eliminate wipe potential tied to layered mechanics and add mismanagement.

Execution remains the dominant stabilizing factor.

How to Unlock

Final Guild Verdict

Anamnesis Anyder is a Visual and Positional Gauntlet. It rewards groups that can read the boss’s body language and interact with the arena floor. It marks the point where “knowing your rotation” is no longer enough—you must now “know the room.”

Block the grates, watch the arms, and survive the memories.
