Encounter Overview
Prishe is the first encounter in Jeuno: The First Walk, the Final Fantasy XI crossover alliance raid introduced in the Dawntrail expansion.
The fight focuses on movement puzzles, delayed telegraphs, and knockback trajectory mechanics. Players must correctly interpret Prishe’s attack charges to determine safe positions for incoming area attacks.
Several mechanics overlap later in the encounter, requiring players to navigate traveling AoEs, spike hazards, and knockback positioning simultaneously.
Players can fall off the arena and die.
Arena Overview
The battlefield is a large circular platform surrounded by a lethal drop.
Arena hazards include:
• spike zones created by Crystalline Thorns
• falling from the arena edge
• knockback mechanics from the boss
Movement control is critical during several mechanics.
Mechanic Archive
Banishga
Prishe casts Banishga, dealing unavoidable magical raidwide damage.
Response
• mitigate raidwide damage
• healers prepare recovery
Knuckle Sandwich
Prishe targets a point on the arena floor marked by three concentric circles.
Her fist will glow one to three times, accompanied by the voice line “Wait for it…”.
The number of charges determines the size of the delayed explosion.
| Charges | Explosion Radius |
|---|---|
| 1 | Inner circle |
| 2 | Middle circle |
| 3 | Outer circle |
Immediately after the explosion, an untelegraphed donut AoE hits the previously safe area.
Response
• identify the charge count
• stand outside the marked circle
• move inward quickly to avoid the donut AoE
Nullifying Dropkick
Shared tankbuster stack on the main tank.
Deals heavy physical damage.
Response
• all tanks stack together
• mitigate damage
Banish Storm
Prishe summons two rods in the arena.
Each rod projects three directional arrows showing the path of traveling circle AoEs.
These AoEs move outward across the arena.
Response
• watch arrow directions
• move between traveling AoEs
Holy
Several players receive spread markers.
The attack deals magical damage and applies Light Resistance Down.
Overlapping explosions is lethal.
Response
• spread out
• avoid overlapping markers
Crystalline Thorns
Prishe covers most of the arena in spikes.
Safe areas appear in:
• two L-shaped corner regions
• a central overlapping square zone
Standing on spikes inflicts:
• Stun
• Sustained Damage
Response
• quickly move to a safe zone
• avoid landing on spike tiles
Auroral Uppercut
Prishe prepares a powerful knockback attack.
Each player sees three possible knockback trajectories, but only their own.
The correct trajectory depends on the same charge indicator used in Knuckle Sandwich.
| Charges | Knockback Strength |
|---|---|
| 1 | Short |
| 2 | Medium |
| 3 | Long |
Players are knocked upward and backward from the boss.
Landing on spikes inflicts Stun and heavy damage.
The knockback also applies Vulnerability Up.
Response
• align with the correct trajectory
• aim to land in a safe region
Special cases:
• 1 charge: players can remain in the center safe area
• 2–3 charges: players must land in corner L-shaped zones
Players must also avoid being knocked off the arena.
Banishga IV
Heavy magical raidwide damage.
After the cast, orb grids spawn across the arena.
Luminous Remnants
Some orbs begin glowing first, indicating the initial explosion.
These explode in large circle AoEs.
The remaining orbs then explode in a cascading pattern:
• inward
or
• outward
Response
• identify which orbs activate first
• move between explosion patterns
Asuran Fists
Prishe creates a multi-hit stack tower.
The tower deals eight consecutive hits of physical damage.
Response
• entire alliance stacks in the tower
• healers prepare sustained healing
Combined Mechanics
Later phases combine mechanics.
Banishga IV + Knuckle Sandwich
Players must dodge the orb explosion cascade while positioning for the delayed circle and donut AoE.
Banish Storm + Crystalline Thorns + Auroral Uppercut
Three rods spawn while spikes cover most of the arena.
Traveling AoEs continue moving while players prepare for knockback.
Players must select a safe trajectory that avoids:
• spikes
• traveling AoEs
• falling off the arena.
Role Pressure Analysis
Tanks
Tanks primarily handle Nullifying Dropkick stacks and maintain boss positioning.
Healers
Healers must sustain the alliance through multiple raidwide damage events and multi-hit stacks.
DPS
DPS players must focus heavily on movement and mechanic execution to avoid lethal overlaps and spike hazards.
Failure Points
Common wipes occur from:
• incorrect knockback positioning during Auroral Uppercut
• standing on spikes during Crystalline Thorns
• overlapping Holy spread markers
• failing to stack for Asuran Fists
• being knocked off the arena
Difficulty Profile
| Category | Rating |
|---|---|
| Mechanical Complexity | Moderate |
| Movement Requirement | High |
| Coordination Requirement | Moderate |
| Punishment Severity | High |
Prishe emphasizes movement control and telegraph interpretation, particularly during knockback mechanics.
