Encounter Overview
Paglth’an is a fast-paced level 80 dungeon that blends traditional pulls with several high-pressure encounter moments. The dungeon emphasizes movement awareness, add control, and handling layered AoEs, particularly in its mid-dungeon event and final boss.
While trash is mostly straightforward, several enemies introduce overlapping AoEs and directional pressure that can punish inattentive positioning. The final encounter against Lunar Bahamut stands out as the primary difficulty spike, combining spread, stack, and movement-heavy mechanics into a sustained execution check.

Arena Overview
The dungeon alternates between open desert arenas and controlled combat spaces. Boss arenas are generally circular with minimal terrain obstruction, but mechanics frequently force players to reposition rapidly.
The Magitek Fortress encounter uses a larger battlefield with environmental hazards, including directional cannon fire and moving AoEs, creating constant spatial pressure.
Boss Mechanics
Dungeon Mechanics
Tempered Imperial Packs – Mixed enemy groups with melee and caster pressure. Tanks should group tightly to allow efficient AoE damage while avoiding unnecessary spread.
Telotek Enemies – Introduce targeted AoEs and occasional line attacks. Watch for telegraphs overlapping with other enemy abilities.
Magitek Cannon Fire – Line AoEs from environmental cannons during the fortress encounter. These create forced movement patterns during add waves.
Strategy: Keep pulls controlled and grouped. Most danger comes from overlapping AoEs rather than raw damage. Tanks should face enemies away from the group when possible, while DPS prioritize fast cleanup to reduce incoming pressure.
Amhuluk
Critical Rip – Tankbuster.
Electric Burst – Raid-wide damage.
Lightning Bolt – Large AoEs on players and nearby lampposts. Players must avoid overlapping placements.
Thundercall – Spawns lightning orbs around the arena that pulse damage and restrict safe space.
Wide Blaster → Spike Flail – Front cone immediately followed by a rear cone, covering both sides of the boss.
Strategy: Assign space quickly during Lightning Bolt to avoid overlap, using empty lampposts as safe drop zones. For Wide Blaster and Spike Flail, move through or around the boss rather than away from it to stay in safe zones. Maintain awareness of orb placement as the arena becomes increasingly restricted.
Magitek Fortress
Magitek Core Phase – The true target is shielded until add waves are cleared.
Cannon Fire – Line AoEs from fortress cannons that apply Vulnerability Up.
2-tonze Magitek Missile – Large AoE on a random player.
Magitek Claw – Predator jump attack on the tank.
Aethershot – AoE from Sky Armor units.
Exhaust – Line AoE from the Colossus.
Missile Barrage – Waves of missiles traveling across the arena.
Ground-to-ground Ballistic – Knockback from center if cannons are inactive.
Defensive Reaction – Raid-wide damage when attacking the core.
Strategy: Prioritize add cleanup quickly to minimize time under cannon pressure. Stay mobile to avoid overlapping missile paths and line AoEs. During knockback, position near safe angles or use mitigation tools. When the core becomes available, burst it efficiently before the next wave begins.
Telotherium: Lunar Bahamut
Twisted Scream – Raid-wide damage that spawns sequential exploding nails.
Perigean Breath – Cone attack targeting a player.
Akh Morn – Multi-hit stack marker.
Megaflare – Spread markers followed by delayed AoEs at previous positions.
Megaflare Dive – Line dive across the arena with knockback.
Kan Rhai – Targeted AoE that leaves lingering damage zones.
Lunar Flare – Expanding AoEs that leave limited safe zones.
Gigaflare – Heavy raid-wide damage.
Flatten – Late-phase tankbuster.
Strategy: This fight is a movement check. Resolve Twisted Scream by tracking nail order and rotating into safe areas as they explode. Spread cleanly for Megaflare, then immediately move out of your previous position to avoid the follow-up blasts. For dives, pre-position in safe lanes rather than reacting late. Stack tightly for Akh Morn and quickly reset positioning afterward. As the fight progresses, overlapping mechanics increase—stay disciplined with spacing and movement to avoid cascading damage.
Encounter Flow
The dungeon opens with standard trash pulls that introduce overlapping AoEs and positioning checks. Amhuluk serves as an early test of spatial awareness, particularly with directional combos and AoE placement.
The Magitek Fortress encounter breaks the dungeon flow with a multi-phase add fight, requiring consistent movement and prioritization under environmental pressure.
The final encounter against Lunar Bahamut escalates into a sustained mechanic sequence, combining spread, stack, and movement patterns into a high-execution finish.
