Encounter Overview

Titan is the fourth and final encounter of Eden’s Gate.

This fight emphasizes tile-based arena control, knockback management, bomb patterns, and form-change sequences that temporarily alter how players move through the battlefield. Titan repeatedly pressures the party with mechanics that punish poor positioning and can easily throw players off the arena.

As the tier finale, the encounter demands stronger pattern recognition than the earlier Eden’s Gate fights, especially once Titan begins cycling through his Fists and Wheels forms.

Key mechanics include:

• tile-chain explosions
• line-of-sight shielding behind boulders
• heavy knockbacks
• platform-wide transformation attacks
• bomb patterns with safe-spot movement
• repeated movement checks during Titan form phases

Arena Overview

The encounter takes place on a 16-tile arena suspended over a lethal drop.

Players can be knocked off the platform throughout the fight, though fallen players may be resurrected after a short delay.

The tiled structure is central to the encounter. Several mechanics target specific tiles, destroy or threaten sections of the platform, and force players to move between safe zones quickly.

Mechanic Archive

Voice of the Land

Raidwide damage affecting the entire party.

Response:
• mitigate and heal
• be ready for follow-up mechanics immediately after the damage resolves.

Evil Earth

One tile is marked to explode, followed by adjacent tiles in a chain reaction that spreads outward.

Response:
• wait for the first tiles to detonate
• then step into the already-exploded safe area as the wave continues outward
• avoid panicking early, because the previously exploded tiles become the safe zone.

Weight of the Land

Random tiles are marked for explosions.

Response:
• move to unaffected tiles
• keep movement small and controlled so you do not drift into another marked tile.

Stonecrusher

Titan’s tankbuster. A heavy stomp on the main tank that also hits in a small AoE and applies Physical Vulnerability Up.

Response:
• main tank mitigates
• off-tank and party stay clear of the impact area
• a swap is usually unnecessary in normal mode, but the tank should not take the hit unmitigated.

Crumbling Down

Two proximity markers appear on the east and west side of the arena. Large boulders fall onto them.

Afterward, one boulder crumbles away, leaving one remaining boulder to use for the next mechanic.

Response:
• move away from the impact points to reduce damage
• watch which boulder remains, because it becomes your line-of-sight shelter for Seismic Wave.

Seismic Wave

A powerful blast that must be line-of-sighted behind the remaining boulder.

Response:
• place the surviving boulder between Titan and your character
• do not stand in the open or the hit is usually lethal.

Geocrush

Titan leaps to a random section of the arena and applies a massive knockback from the landing point.

Response:
• move close to the point of impact
• angle yourself so the knockback sends you safely across the platform rather than off the edge
• knockback immunity also works here.

Titan Fists 1

Titan Fists

Titan enlarges his fists and smashes all tiles to his sides, leaving only the tiles in front of him safe. A follow-up blast then makes the original safe tiles unsafe and the sides safe instead.

Response:
• start in front of Titan for the first smash
• then immediately rotate to the sides for the follow-up
• treat it as a two-step safe-zone swap.

Bomb Boulders

Bombs appear around the arena and explode in a set pattern. One may become a Cobalt Bomb, a larger bomb with a much bigger danger zone.

Response:
• identify the explosion order
• move into spaces that have already detonated
• if a Cobalt Bomb is present, prioritize staying far from it while still respecting the normal bomb pattern.

Geocrush

Returns after the bomb sequence.

Response:
• reposition toward the landing point again
• use the same close-in knockback logic as before.

Titan Wheels 1

Titan Wheels / Fault Zone

Titan transforms into a wheeled form and dashes in a straight line across the arena, instantly killing players in front of him and knocking others back.

Response:
• stand on the side of the charge path, not in front of it
• choose the side with more platform space so the knockback does not send you off the arena.

A shockwave then expands across nearby tiles as Titan returns to normal.

Response:
• avoid lingering near the charge path after the dash
• reposition early instead of reacting late to the aftershock.

Earthen Fury

Raidwide damage with a damage-over-time effect on all players.

Response:
• heal aggressively after the hit
• do not let the party enter the next movement mechanic low.

Bomb Boulders (Later Patterns)

Bombs now appear in more varied layouts, including lines and other multi-step patterns. Some patterns also overlap with Weight of the Land.

Response:
• track the order the bombs appear, because they explode in that same order
• wait for a detonation, then move into that cleared space
• watch for Weight of the Land forcing small last-second adjustments.

Titan Fists 2

Massive Landslide + Left/Right Landslide

Titan repeats the fist pattern with added side-based smash mechanics and leap repositioning.

Response:
• first identify the safe side for the main fist attack
• then quickly adjust for the extra left/right pressure
• after Titan leaps, re-center mentally and solve the next safe zone fresh rather than relying on old positioning.

Titan also creates cross-shaped line AoEs when landing in later portions of this sequence.

Response:
• avoid both the landing point and the cross lines
• move decisively because the follow-up fist pattern comes quickly.

Titan Wheels 2

Fault Zone Sequence

Titan performs multiple wheeled charges in sequence, turning between each one.

Response:
• solve each dash one at a time
• move early to the next safe side instead of waiting for the previous animation to end fully
• always think about where the next knockback will send you.

Magnitude 5.0

A donut AoE around Titan’s final position after the third dash.

Response:
• sprint into Titan’s hitbox as soon as the charge sequence ends
• do not stay at range or the donut will catch you.

Encounter Flow

Titan opens with straightforward raidwide damage, tile explosions, and tank pressure before introducing the boulder line-of-sight mechanic through Crumbling Down and Seismic Wave.

The fight then shifts into its core identity: movement through changing tile safety patterns. Players must repeatedly solve bombs, knockbacks, and platform-safe swaps while Titan alternates between normal attacks and transformation mechanics.

The Titan Fists phases test fast positional swaps between front and side safe zones, while the Titan Wheels phases focus on line-charge dodging and knockback control. Both sequences become more complex in their later versions.

As the fight continues, Titan loops earlier mechanics with increased overlap between bomb patterns, tile explosions, and movement checks. Although the encounter lacks a strict enrage, mistakes accumulate quickly because the arena constantly threatens to kill players through fall deaths or mistimed movement.
