Level 80 Relic Weapons

Resistance Weapons are the relic weapon series introduced in the Shadowbringers expansion of Final Fantasy XIV. These weapons are tied directly to the Save the Queen: Blades of Gunnhildr storyline and the battlefield systems introduced in the Bozjan Southern Front.

Players begin the relic questline in Gangos, where they can obtain their first weapon and gradually enhance it through multiple stages using materials obtained from battlefield content, raids, dungeons, and FATEs.

Many Resistance Weapon stages allow players to farm materials using multiple different activities, making the grind flexible compared to earlier relic systems.

Each stage requires different upgrade materials obtained from Bozja activities and other content throughout the game.

Stage 1 — Resistance Weapons (i485)

Players receive their first relic weapon by speaking with Zlatan in Gangos and completing the side quest:

Stage 2 — Augmented Resistance Weapons (i500)

Players upgrade their relic by completing the repeatable quest:

These memories can drop from:

  • Skirmishes in the Bozjan Southern Front

  • Critical Engagements in Bozja

  • Enemies in the battlefield zones

  • FATEs in Heavensward regions (guaranteed drops)

Stage 3 — Recollection Weapons (i500)

How to Obtain Bitter Memories

Bitter Memories can be obtained from:

  • Level 60 dungeons

  • Random drops from enemies in the Bozjan Southern Front

Again, the relic weapon does not need to be equipped.

Stage 4 — Law’s Order Weapons (i510)

To unlock this stage players must progress through the Bozja storyline.

Requirements include:

  • Raise Resistance Rank to 10

  • Complete Castrum Lacus Litore

  • Complete the side quests:

Players must also clear the Delubrum Reginae raid.

Once players complete the relic progression, replica versions of the weapon can be purchased for glamour.

Best Resistance Weapon Farming Strategy

The most efficient way to complete Resistance Weapons is to combine Bozjan battlefield progression with raid farming.

Recommended approach:

  1. Farm Bozjan Southern Front skirmishes for memory items

  2. Run Crystal Tower alliance raids for Loathsome Memories

  3. Use Delubrum Reginae for Timeworn Artifacts

  4. Participate in Zadnor activities for late-stage materials

This combination significantly reduces the overall relic grind.
